§ 1303.011. Purpose.

This waste code is enacted to preserve and promote the public health, safety and welfare by establishing minimum standards for the storage, collection, transportation, and disposal of acceptable and unacceptable waste in order to maintain a sanitary environment for the residents of the city. Whenever this chapter conflicts with any other portion of the Columbus City Code, this chapter shall prevail with respect to any matters relating to acceptable or unacceptable waste generated at residential units or places of business.
