§ 1507.09. Signs required.

  • The lessee, occupant, or operator of any stall, stand or bench space in the market house or any street, or on a sidewalk where markets are held, shall display or cause to be displayed, during market hours, a sign on which is printed, stamped or engraved in English letters at least two inches high, the name of such lessee, occupant or operator. There shall also be printed, stamped or engraved in figures at least two inches high above the name on the sign, the number of the stall, stand or bench space to be designated by and procured from the Superintendent of Markets in accordance with the plan sheet therefor on file in the office of the director of public service and marked and designated "Plan of Sidewalk Market Stand Numbering." Such sign shall be in accordance with the approval of the director of public service and shall be attached to or displayed in or on such stall, stand or bench space in a conspicuous place, where it can be plainly seen by prospective customers.
