§ 141.10. Powers authorized.

The director of public safety is authorized to empower guards and matrons of the workhouse and women's correctional institution, including the superintendent of the workhouse and office manager of the workhouse, with the following powers:
(a)

The power to guard and prevent the escape of inmates of the workhouse and women's correctional Institution either within or without the confines of the workhouse and women's correctional institution; and

(b)

The power to capture and detain known escapees of the workhouse and woman's correctional institution.
