§ 2151.08. Unattended vehicles; setting brakes and key removal.

  • (a)

    No person having control or in charge of a motor vehicle shall permit it to stand on any street unattended without first setting the brakes thereon, stopping the motor of such vehicle, locking the ignition, and removing the key, and, when standing upon a perceptible grade, turning the wheels of such vehicle to the curb or the side of the street.

    (b)

    A violation of this section constitutes the commission of a parking infraction to be handled pursuant to and governed by the provisions of Chapter 2150.
