§ 3111.14. Southwest area created.

  • There is hereby created in the city a commission area to be known as the Southwest area, containing approximately six thousand seven hundred eight (6,708) acres and five thousand ninety-seven (5,097) dwelling units, located south of the Greater Hilltop and the Franklinton area and bounded and described as follows:

    Beginning at the intersection of Interstate 270 and the railroad right-of-way immediately west of Harrisburg Pike;

    Thence northerly and easterly along said right-of-way to its point of intersection with the centerline of Central Avenue;

    Thence southerly along the centerline of Central Avenue to the centerline of Mound Street;

    Thence easterly along the centerline of Mound Street to the centerline of Mt. Calvary Avenue;

    Thence southerly along the centerline of Mt. Calvary Avenue to the centerline of Renick and the boundary line of the City of Columbus;

    Thence westerly and southerly along the city's boundary line to the centerline of Greenlawn Avenue;

    Thence easterly along the centerline of Greenlawn Avenue to the west bank of the Scioto River;

    Thence southerly along the west bank of the Scioto River to the center line of Interstate 270;

    Thence westerly along the center line of Interstate 270 to the place of beginning.

    The Southwest area commission is hereby established as the representative advisory area commission for the Southwest area pursuant to Chapter 3109, C.C., having the powers and duties thereof in accordance with the regulations therein and the by-laws for the Southwest area commission filed with the city clerk, subsequently amended and now approved hereby.
