§ 915.05. Duties of the Franklin Park Conservatory subcommission.

The duties of the Franklin Park Conservatory subcommission are as follows:

The subcommission shall encourage public interest in the conservatory and its many activities, assist in planning programs and encouraging the appropriate use of the conservatory facilities; encourage donations and help to organize fund raising events in light of the special needs and projects as may be identified by the department of recreation and parks; keep the conservatory staff informed of community interests and needs; review and make recommendations to the recreation and parks commission with regard to the master plan of the park and conservatory, review the annual and capital improvements budgets for the conservatory and make recommendations to the recreation and parks commission prior to the budgets' adopted by the city council; review and make recommendations to the director of recreation and parks, within established guidelines and procedures, on the suitability of candidates considered for the position of the director of the conservatory and promote and encourage activities and programs by volunteer groups to the conservatory.
